What’s the Weather Like in St Paul?

St. Paul often has mild weather in early November. Last year on the first day of our conference (November 4^th), the high was 71 degrees F. Evening temperatures can be in the 40’s. 

The National Weather Service has archival data for the Twin Cities. According to their records, over the last five years of archived records, during November 4-7 (the dates of our conference), the average daily high was 54.2 degrees F and the average daily (highs combined with lows) temperature was 46.05 degrees. Out of those twenty days, one day there was a snowfall of 1.1 inches and another day there was a trace of snow. There was no snow on the other 18 days. 

Hotel Information

Despite the high or low temperature outside, be sure to bring your bathing suit for our pool party after the GIFTS session Wednesday evening! (And, of course, the pool is inside.)

The 2009 NCSPOD International conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel in St. Paul Minnesota, U.S.A. When making your hotel reservation, use the code EK0 (zero).

The Crowne Plaza Hotel sits 10 miles from the Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport and downtown Minneapolis. The hotel offers complimentary services including newspapers in the lobby and wireless Internet access throughout the property. The hotel's downtown location allows for a convenient five mile system of walkways between fellow buildings and easy access to museums and theatres. The second level consists of shopping options. The hotel's glassed in indoor pool offers city views. In addition, a spa tub and fitness center are on site.

Room rates for the 2009 Conference:

• Two Double Beds Non-Smoking - $132 per night (plus tax)
• King Non-Smoking - $132 per night (plus tax)

This group rate is available up to three days pre- and post conference, subject to availability.
The room tax is currently 13.25% (subject to change). Add $10 for each person beyond two in a room, maximum is four per room.

All conference attendees are responsible for making their own hotel and travel arrangements.

Note that the conference room rate is available to attendees for three days before and three days after the conference on a space-available basis.The NCSPOD Conference rate is guaranteed until October 1, 5:00 pm Eastern. After this cut-off date, the conference room rate cannot be guaranteed.
