The annual International Professional Developers’ Workshop is designed for both new and seasoned practitioners in the field of Professional Development or anyone who is interested in faculty, staff and organizational development.
This online IPDW has been designed to be an interactive experience among participants and featured speakers.
Presented in two, 90 minute webinar sessions, on February 18 and 25 [both Thursdays], at 3 pm, Eastern time. The opening session focuses on classroom-based teaching and the second on teaching online. Our presenter for both sessions is Dr. Idahlynn Karre.
Idahlynn Karre has spent her career as a professor, speaker, and leader of educational innovation, devoting the past seven years to professional speaking, writing, coaching and consulting for colleges, universities, and professional associations. Recipient of the National Teacher of the Year (1992), the Paul Elsner International Leadership Award (2000), National Speakers Association Outstanding Professor (1992) StrengthsQuest Vision Award (2008), Idahlynn has presented workshops throughout the U.S. and Canada – many focused on the active learning strategies that are the focus of this year’s IPDW. Having presented at NCSPOD conferences on several occasions, she is especially comfortable with addressing the needs of our members.
Participants are encouraged to arrange for the online session to be hosted in a location so that administrators and others interested in the topic may attend.
Prior to the first session, if possible, participants will be asked to do some analysis of their own part-time faculty according to some sample parameters.
