Purpose

The NCSPOD Editorial Board serves to ensure the quality and credibility of NCSPOD publications. The Editorial Board aims to reflect the full interests of the Council, goegraphically, thematically and topically. The Board is comprised of members from the 5 regions of NCSPOD under the recommendation of the Regional VPs. In addition to regional representation, the Board includes the VP Publications, President and two NCSPOD Emeritus members.

Goal

The NCSPOD Editorial Board will help guide NCSPOD to sources of information, point out trends in SPOD, and help ensure the appropriate direction for an article. The Editorial Boards will lend credibility and authority to publications — an important promotional message.

Membership Duties

The following are some of the areas in which an editorial board member should become involved:

  • Provide ideas for the direction of the NCSPOD publications;
  • Provide ideas for feature coverage;
  • Provide manuscript consultation;
  • Contribute articles for publication or help the VP Publication find someone who can;
  • Participate in a threaded online discussions in the google group.
