Staff Development refers to programs that focus on individual college employees – faculty, support staff, administrators and executives. Staff development focuses on providing skills and knowledge that enhances job performance and teaching effectiveness, scholarly skills and personal development. Examples of staff development include wellness programs; FERPA (student confidentiality) training; new employee, new faculty or adjunct faculty orientations; use of technologies and contract management training.
